The End Is Nigh

Four months starts off feeling like a long time, but before you know it 120 days have flown by and you're left wondering where it all went.

We started shooting the Complex in April right after the intensity of the Colony which was right after 5 months of the Listener. At the time I was exhausted and excited to be working closer to home on a 1hr serial. After months and months of mud, blood, snow, and sweat I thought it would be a great change of pace to work on making people pretty again.

And it was. The other shows all have their bonuses, and working with great people tops the list, but I had been elbow deep in gore for a while so the Complex was a wonderful change. Plus it gave me a chance to be closer to home. A rarity indeed.

Anyway, with just a few short days before the end of season 2 and 3 weeks before my new gig, an indie feature, I decided to take stock of some of my favourite images from this season.

Most of these have nothing or very little to do with makeup but they were things which caught my eye. Shadow play, colour, texture. These were all taken in and around the studio or while on location. It's a rich visual world out there and taking a minute to appreciate it all is good for the soul.

So, enjoy...

Such a great colour with the play of shadow and light.
