Revisiting

I have quite a few items in the works that I am really very excited about. Some of my favourites are actually reworked versions of earlier designs. I have revisited some of my old sketchbooks and scribbled notes with a mind to updating and revising them.

My first set of patterns to be released shall be a range of accessories. As most of my knit and crochet wear is made to co-ordinate with my other fashion offerings, I needed these accessories to be fun and funky yet quick and easy to work.

A few of these accessories shall be free while others shall be offered for sale with instructions for creating all knit or all crochet versions for those who are not bi-crafty. I know, I know, there are a lot of knitters who don't or won't crochet and just as many hookers who don't/won't knit. I am constantly amazed by the aversion some have to the idea of learning the other craft. SMH. Anyway, I shall try and release the all knit and all crochet variations at the same time but if not just bear with me, it may take an extra week or two to release these variations.

Some patterns will require other skills such as Tunisian crochet, embroidery, needle felting (creations by one of my partners in crime) and sewing but most shall be a combination of standard crochet and knit.

This is a pic of Dear Elizabeth as I fiddle with the attaching of the upper collar. I am not a fan of sewing, as I have mentioned elsewhere, so I will jump through all sorts of hoops to avoid it. Because of this most of my patts will require that you pick up stitches and work from there. Dear Elizabeth requires stitches picked up from a Tunisian crochet base.
