Getting out of my own way

It's funny but now that I have decided to just do it, commit to an idea and follow it through, I am trying to work through those urges to drop what I am in the middle of in favour of something else just out out sight. I mean, I am still starting far too many project and working on far too many design ideas at one time but they are all for a common end goal. I am flexing muscles I had long forgotten existed. Some of them are rather unexpectedly soothing.

Revisiting, reworking, writing and editing have become a part of the process I now enjoy.

But back to the point, now that I am making a run for it, I keep meeting people whose talents could come in handy not that people are to be defined by their "usefulness" to me but I have been surprised by the generosity of those I have just met and have been discovering some hidden talents of those I have known for some time. A co-worker with a skill in a craft I am unfamiliar with, a cable guy unexpectedly offering his skills in photography, suddenly running into a stylist I have not seen in, I know a lot of talented generous people!

Normally, ever so wary of the offer based on politeness and not any true desire to help, I have not followed up in the past. This time around I plan on taking offers at face value. I actually have no excuse this time around. I have the means and the opportunity, the rest is all me and, tired of tripping over myself, I have decided to get the heck out of my own way.

Small steps, small steps.

roughly, "great (much) in little"
Or, out of little comes greatness.

I have had this pin forever (I exaggerate only a little as I have had this my entire adult life). Going through containers of costume jewellery I found all sorts of cool things for my Yes, Mistress photo shoot in March. Excited, I am.
